Would YOU Shake Hands???

Wayne Bridges (l) John Terry...if only Wayne knew!
A few weeks ago I told you about the two feuding footballers, John Terry and Wayne Bridges, over Terry's affair with Bridges ex-bird Vanessa.

Well, although the news stories have calmed down, Wayne recently announced he did NOT want to be considered as a team-player for England team World Cup matches and instead would "make himself unavailable".  Errr why?!?!

REALLY??? Most players would absolutley DIE to represent their country. Playing for England is the highest step of a person's football career - both personally, professionally and I'm sure financially too. I don't mean to be harsh on the poor lad, but GROW SOME FRIGGING BALLS MATE! It was an awful thing that happened, and I could only imagine how bruised and battered Bridges feelings (and ego!) must feel.  Though saying that, whatever differences you have with a work colleague - you put them aside.  There are thousands of people that suffer humilation, embarrassment, hurt and other awful things in the workplace but do they take the day off work? Or wish to be excused from a team project in fear of working with their feuding colleague. HELL NO.

Vanessa, the woman that broke Waynes ♥...

These kind of incidents separate the boys from the men.  Bridges decision to remove himself from the England squad has shown him to be quite a weak person.  Maybe he should take advice from the saying, "What doesn't break you, only makes you stronger." Because Bridges, if there's one thing about life you can't run away from your problems.

Terry silencing the boos from the crowd..er like he doesnt deserve it!?
So the question to you is, would you have done the same and withdrawn from the England team or would you have sticked to your guns and played for the team?

PS. Both Terry and Bridges met yesterday afternoon for a game - Bridges refused to shake Terry's hand, something I agreed with and would have definately done the same! Would you?

ELLE Style Awards 2010

It was the ELLE style awards last night one of my favourite style events because all the celebs are always dressed to impress.  Plus there is a nice mix of both UK and US stars present :-)

Held in London's Connaught Rooms, the event hosted the best dressed people of the year.  That's a hard one, but personally, for 2009, my best dressed list would be (in no particular order!) Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, Nicola Roberts, Alexandra Burke and Lauren Conrad in my top 5...who would you choose?

Olsen Twins

Ashley wore a white/blue Christian Lacroix dress and Mary-Kate chose black.  Usually, I prefer Ashley Olsen out of the two but I really liked Mary-Kate's Gothic Lanvin gown and the fur shrug finished off the outfit perfectly :-)

Sisters Dannii and Kylie

Pregnant Dannii looked glowing in her canary yellow Grecian dress by Lisa Ho..she hid the bump well!  Kylie opted for the classic LBD by YSL with a plunging neckline to give it a twist.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Claudia Schiffer

Claudia kept it boring simple in a Emma Cook black dress. Rosie, the Victoria's Secret model, wore a pretty red Christion Dior dress. Is it me, or is there something quite odd looking about that girl?!

Naomi and Agyness

The British models wore UK designers on the night.  Naomi chose a Alexandra McQueen dress while Agyness wore a Henry Holland LBD with fluffy blue strips...hmmmm on that one Agy!

Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo

Olivia wore a Matthew Williamson dress..not keen on the studded belt..makes the outfit look too busy but it's Olivia she always looks nice she can get away with it!  Editor's choice winner (and rightly so!), Alexa, wore a georgous blue Chanel tea dress. A tad bit grannish but check the shoes..and the bag *sigh*  Alexa can make a granny dress look decent - the girl never puts a foot wrong!

Kristen Stewart and Nicola Roberts

Kristen wore a Emilio Pucci dress (not feeling that beehive hair look) and Nicola wore a pink Vanessa Bruno blazer and sorts. Love the fushia, the hair and shoes..good look Nicola!

Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and Jamie Winstone

Daisy wore a Miu Miu skirt and some weird criss-cross top...one word STRANGE!  Pixie Geldof chose a Vivienne Westwood blazer and trouser suit and Jamie wore Roksanda IIincic.

Corinne Bailey Rae and Claire Danes

Claire wore a boring black Burberry dress...come on love its a STYLE awards event not a frigging funeral!  Corinne didn't do much better, she wore a hideous Diane Von Furstenberg jumpsuit..the length, the drapes and the fringing was just NOT DOING it for her. :-(

Cheryl Splits from Husband, Ashley

Cheryl & Ashley Cole in happier times...

Surprise suprise - Cheryl Cole announced today she's separating from her husband. Shocked? Nope, me neither!

After flying out to the US following all those tabloid tales about Ashley cheating on her, she flew back into the UK today announcing the heartbreaking news.

Chezza arriving at Heathrow today..♥ the bag Chez!

Her spokespeople released a statement to the press and on Twitter stating that "Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole":-

Statement released on Twitter

The other four members of Girls Aloud are, "Supporting Cheryl in private".  Their spokesman added. Uh-huh...bet they knew all along!

The Coles met in 2004 and married two years later.  2008, was when the cracks started to appear when the first allegations of Ashley's infidelity emerged.

Despite all of that hoo-haa, Cheryl stood by her man, and what happens? More claims surrounding his cheating appear.  No wonder Cheryl jetted off to US to get away from it all. No surprising that she happened to be pictured with the US hotty, some American dancer called Derek Hough, who appears in the video for her latest single.  And who can blame her?

The dancer has apparently been "comforting" the popstar during her stay in the US...uh huh!

Her first single shouldn't have been called Fight for this love -  more like Quit fighting,I'm done!  Apart from marriage, there's nothing else holding Cheryl back.  She has no children with Ashley, she's young, beautiful, talented, has a successful career...the world is her oyster.  Why should she hang around with someone who (allegedly) has no respect for her to repeatedly cheat on her over and over and over and over again?

The couple on their ad campaign for National Lottery
..tacky much?!

They say once a cheat, always a cheat. I believe in second chances- EVERYONE deserves a second chance.  Everybody is human.  BUT (and that's a very very big BUT) when someone repeatedly cheats on you, how much longer can you put up with it?  Love? That's not love. As Rhi Rhi once said, "Love doesn't hurt" physically, nor should it hurt emotionally either.  It's a tough situation to be in as once the trust is broken within a relationship, it's very hard to mend.

Ashley, hope it was worth it...judging by these pics of the girls he allegedly cheated on Chezza with...I don't think so!)

Ashley has been linked with Alexandra Taylor (l) & Ann Corbitt who claims she slept with him while he was on tour in US

Who could forget "hairdresser" from Sutton Aimee Walton (l), glamour model Sonia Wild and Club Secretary Vicki Glough (r)...what a bunch of mingers!

"Men cheat for the same reason that dogs lick their balls... because they can" - Samantha, Sex & the City.

Fashion At the Baftas

Don't shoot me but I have a confession...I didn't actually watch the BAFTAS *shock horror*! I missed the red carpet event (did E! cover it??) which is always my favourite part of these award ceremonies. But I managed to get some great pics of the celebrities in their frocks/suits.   It's a shame it was raining but this is an event held in the UK..it always rains!!! :-) Let me know which was your favourite!

Kirsten Stewart wore a frilly little Chanel dress with the strangest shoes - I couldn't work out if they were cute or cute but just not on her!  Lovely Bones actress Saoirse Ronan wore a Burberry dress, matching the belt with her shoes.

Kate Winslet wore a Stella McCartney gown with a leg split and cut-out detail - quite daring for Kate's usual taste but I think it worked well.  Joely Richardson wore a  midnight blue Catherine Walker number - very red carpet indeed!

Vera Farmiga wore a beautiful white one-shoulder Marchesa dress. I especially loved the frilly detail and her choosing to do her hair up really showed off the dress.  Claire Danes wore a gold drapy Burberry gown, very on trend but to be honest the colour, and the draping, kind of drowned her.

Audrey Tautou wore a pink Lanvin dress. Is it me, or does the dress need an iron?? Also, I wasn't too keen on the flimsy one shoulder either. It doesn't look like the dress is meant to be worn that way. The whole thing looks odd. Though I love the sparkly red shoes tres bien! :-)  Jamie Winston wore the Hollywood glamour look well. I liked her Alexander McQueen gown and the fur coat and Marilyn Monroe hair do worked well with this look.

Tiger Admits He's Sorry

Tiger Woods at Sawgrass Golf Club today

Today, Tiger Woods issued a public statement to millions of viewers.  This is the first time he has spoken publicly since allegations of affairs with at LEAST 12 women emerged.

It has been described by several media outlets, sports pundits and others as an "extraordinary" apology..and so it should!

Tiger talking to the world..finally!

The biggest sports-star in the world begged for forgiveness, announcing he will start a new life of "integrity".  He admitted he had bitterly disappointed his family, friends and fans.

He leapt to his wife, Elin's defence, insisting she had never attacked him, like it had been reported by the media.  Instead, he said that she should be praised for her "grace and poise" rather than be blamed. He said:-

I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you. I have made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did. I am embarrassed I have put you in this position. For all I have done, I am so sorry. I have a lot to atone for."
Tiger apologising

In his statement, he said "sorry" several times acknowledging his behaviour as "selfish" and "foolish".  He said:-

"I have let you down. I have let down my fans. For many of you, especially my friends, my behaviour has been a personal disappointment. For those of you who work for me, I have let you down personally and professionally."

Although his wife was not present, his mother was seated in the front row who he embraced after the 13 minute and a half public apology.

Elin shown yesterday in Florida..apparently her wearing "Nike" is showing her husband support (one of his sponsers)

Personally, I think this was the best thing for Tiger to do.  I have listened to media reports, journalists, PR gurus etc etc expressing their own opinions on the matter. Many have stated that Tiger should have had a Question & Answer press release or perhaps a Sit down interview with Oprah.

Are you outta your mind?! The man looked like he was struggling reading from his piece of paper - never mind being hounded by journalists. Letting him answer questions would be feeding him to a pack of wolves - the man could not ever handle that kind of intergration, even if it was from someone as sensitive or kind as Oprah.

Tiger embracing his mother after his speech

This was the best move for Tiger - though in my opinion it was a little late. This should have been done at least one month ago. Although, would Tiger have agreed to this? Strangely the man still seems to believe that the press should leave he and his family alone.  He was careful in his wording but he stressed that now he and his wife should be left alone to sort out their marriage problems.

What planet do you live on Tiger??!?? You are a sports-star living in the public eye - there is NO SUCH THING AS PRIVACY!!! If a celebrity, sport-star, politician or any other human being living in the public eye can not learn from Tiger Wood's situation, then they need a big REALITY CHECK.

Tiger Woods doing what he knows best

No amount of beauty, popularity, money, class or common sense will stop the media reporting scandals. The sooner these celebrities learn to deal with this - the better they will be at dealing with scandals.

Kate Moss Shed Tears for Alexander McQueen

Kate sheds a tear for Alexander McQueen

Last night, Kate Moss attended the Fashion for Relief Haiti charity show, organised by friend Naomi Campbell, at London's Somerset House.

She appeared in the catwalk show, modelling a dress from Alexander McQueen's last collection.  She proudly put on a brave face, though it didn't last long when the dress was being auctioned.

She burst into tears when the dress was being auctioned, and had to be comforted by her friend, Topshop owner Phillip Green and other friend Annabelle.

The night was not all tears though.  It was a star-studded night with Denise Van Outen, Dame Shirley Bassey, Girls Aloud singers Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh, Alexandra Burke and even Gordon's wife, Sarah Brown attending.  The event even managed to raise over 1 million - sure to put a smile on Kate's face.

I found a really nice one of Kate, Naomii and a friend of theirs Annabelle. They all look georgous in Alexander's dresses don't you think? See below for pics of the other celebs modelling in the fashion auction!
