So I've decided to start blogging outfits I wear out and listing where I got them from!

The first is this outfit I wore out to dinner with my boyfriend :-) We went to a restaurant which is definately not a dressed down place and everyone dresses up which makes a change to my usual Uggs on a day off!

It was extremely cold that day hence the dark tights but I thought it went well with the nude coloured dress teamed with a black cardie and nude shoes too.

Heidi Breaks Down Speaking About Surgery To Mum

The last season of the Hills aired on Tuesday night and the first episode showed Heidi's mum's reaction to her plastic surgery.

As we all know, Heidi decided to have 10 plastic surgery procedures a few month ago, much to the horror of the entire world including her own mother!

In the first episode, Heidi's mum, Darlene, said she looked like a "barbie doll" and much preferred her the way she was.  Cue Heidi's horrified reaction.

Heidi, an aspiring pop star, underwent surgery on nearly every part of her body including, neck liposuction, buttock augmentation, mini brow lift, chin reduction, Botox in her forehead and frown area as well as fat injected into her cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips.  Nice! *sarcasm*

When Heidi asked her mother what she thought of her surgery Darlene said,  "It takes a little getting used to. It’s very weird and very awkward. I’m sorry.'

As Heidi listed all the procedures she went through, Darlene said: 'It sounds to me like you want to look like Barbie. "

You won't believe Heidi's response;

"I DO want to look like Barbie."

*Sigh* Oh dear Heidi, what are we going to do with you?

Lourdes Looks The Splitting Image of Her Mother

I found this image of Madonna, her 13 year old daughter, Lourdes and a younger Madonna snapped in 1979.  Doesn't Lourdes look like the splitting image of her mother?!

Anyway, what did you make of Lourdes outfit?  I really like her embellished shift dress/leather jacket combo.  The biker boots finished it off and played down a look to match her age.  

Though saying that I wouldn't let my 13 year old daughter wear walk out of the house wearing ripped tights.  Lourdes should have binned them because quite frankly the trashy tights ruined an almost perfect outfit.  I guess the ripped tights are her signature look so i'll let her off this time. ;-)

Sandra Bullock Adopts New Baby..& Divorces Hubby!

She certainly doesn't do things in halves! Sandra Bullock not only filed for divorce from her cheating husband, Jesse James, but she has shocked Hollywood by revealing she has an adopted son.

The 45 year old Oscar winner brought home 3month old baby Louis Bardo in January prior to the breakdown of her marriage to Jesse James.  The boy was born in New Orleans and the adoption process began four years ago.  The couple took custody of the boy just weeks after his birth and the couple decided to keep the news a secret until after the Oscars when the terrible news broke....

How funny that art should imitate life.  Sandra won an Oscar for her leading role in, The Blind Side, a true story about a mother who adopts a homeless African-American boy who becomes a successful football star.

It's so sad that Sandra couldn't enjoy her success, new baby and family life before tragedy struck and the news of Jessie cheating came to light.  What's worse it was only 10 days after the Oscars when the first "mistress" went public.  The tattoo model claimed a 11 month affair with Jesse.  11 months is a longggggggggggggg time...

Sandra did an exclusive interview with People magazine talking about her decision to end her five year marriage, "I'm sad and I am scared."

When asked about whether Jesse cheated on her she said she had, "no idea about anything." And added, "I did the only think I could do, and that was to pack enough clothes to live on, get all of Louis' things and get out of town.  My main concern was Louis."

Louis, is named after jazz artist Louis Armstrong.  She said, He's just perfect, I can't even describe him any other way.  All I said when I met him was 'Oh, there you are.'  It was like he had always been a part of our lives."

Jessie checked into a treatment facility to address, "personal issues" and he was spotted recently near his home without his wedding ring on.  When she was asked about Jessie's parenting role with Louis she said, "I will be adopting as a single parent.  Anything else will be taken day by day."

Jessie told People magazine, "The decision to let my wife end our marriage and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest.  The love I have for Louis cannot be put into words."

Just when her career reaches its ultimate peak this happens. Good going Jesse! 

Well, I wish Sandra all the best. Although her marriage is over (sad face) at least she can say that a beautiful child has come out of such a awful situation (happy face). That child is georgous beyond words!

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  Hmmmm, I am not too sure about that one! And I think both Lady Gaga and Christina Aguleria would disagree...

Iron Man 2 Premier

The Iron Man 2 premier was held in LA yesterday with star-studded guests arriving for the red carpet.

Kim and Khloe joined their sister, Kourtney, to celebrate her 31st birthday at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Hotel on Saturday.

I love Kim's black playsuit by Robert Rodriguez.  Not too keen on Khloe's stripey maxi dress - not because it's not nice, I just think Maxi dresses are best for either the day or evening party not for a red carpet event.

By the way, have you noticed  the birthday girl Kourtney's white and brown swimsuit under her grey dress?! I think it looks good! What do you think??

Hair transplants - yay or nay???

Well, according to the News of the World, it was a HELL YES for Embarrassing Bodies TV presenter Christian Jessen.

Christian is well known as the TV doctor who advises patients on treatments to cure a range of embarrassing problems.

The newspaper states that Christian has had a secret hair transplant which can cost up to £4,000. Wowzer! 

Christian actually "confessed" to the tabiloid: "Having talked to patients who had hair transplants on Embarrassing Bodies, I decided the time was right to get it done. I'm delighted with the results".

In my opinion, it doesn't look too obvious.  Then again, my hair's not thining (thank God!) so what looks subtle to me could look like a big old bald patch to him.

Perhaps Christian should take his own advice he dished out to his patients on-screen and worry less about his appearance and work more on his confidence!

So I managed to blag two free tickets to Gok Wan's show, "Gok's Fashion Fix".  How excited was I?!

My sister and I arrived a little late to a huge crew of "fashionistas" outside the studios in London.  Even though we were late we still managed to get second row seats for the show.  Not bad right?!  We were at the filming for the final episode of the season - so I know who won!!!

I wish I had pictures to show you of the amazing outfits.  Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take pictures because all the looks had to remain *exclusive* before the show will  be aired. *sad face*

Celebs Attend Coachella Festival 2010

It is the season for festivals and the first, Coachella, kicked off in style.

Held in California the festival attracted a bunch of stylish LA celebs. I've picked the best dressed and of course the worst too - let me know whose on your best dressed list!

Once again, I was late with getting tickets to all the major festivals like Creamfields, Glastonbury etc but good old Wireless never seems to let me down with their fabulous acts (last year Kanye stole the show...obviously!)

I have heard the most amazing news - Jimmy Choo's new trainer collection details have been released and Oh Emmm Geee they looking amazing!!! *uber smiley face*.

The trainers which go on sale online in a month's time are made from exotic snakeskin, patent leather and silver suede the collection comes in eight different styles.  Yes eight different styles for me customers to choose from!

Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo's President, says "The high-top design is sleek, lux and combines a hint of old-school trainer style with a glamorous yet effortlessly cool look. I'm looking forward to wearing mine." Yep, and so are we Tamara!

Ok, so time for the bad news. There is a waiting list and another slight problem, the trainers cost £395 but for those on a budget you could go for the cheaper option instead and choose the £325 trainers...! Oh well, a girl can dream ;-)

Victoria Beckham is in the latest edition of German Vogue...in a very strange photo shoot!

She's posing in a filthy room, wearing designer clothes, but with heavy dramatic makeup.  Sounds fine right? Well, you haven't seen the playground duck she's sitting on!

Call it creative or just crazy - I think Posh Spice looks alright.  The photographer, Alexi Lumbomirski, obviously had some sort of "vision" for this shoot so I guess it works..kinda! Anyhoo see for yourself and let me know what you think! :-)

Primark Remove Kid Padded Bikini

One of my favourite high street stores, Primark, was in BIG trouble last week for selling padded bikini tops for seven year old girls.

They decided to withdraw the bikini after being criticised by politicians and children's charities.

A spokesman from Primark, "Primark has taken note of the concern this morning regarding the sale of certain bikini tops for girls, a product line that sells in relatively small quanities.  The company has stopped the sale of this product line with immediate effect."

 

Even politicians were dragged into the controversial issue.  Conservative leader David Cameron stating on BBC London radio, "There is a classic example today where Primark are apparently pushing padded bras on seven-year-olds, which I think is completely disgraceful."  Gordon Brown also backed the campaign to have padded bikinis removed.

The £4 bikini comes in pink with gold stars or black with white polka dots and was a popular part of the retailer's swimming costume range.

Primark sensibly decided to dontate any profits from the bikinis already sold to a childrens' charity of their choice.  

The most worrying thing about this story is that there are parents who have bought their children inappropriate clothing and then criticise the retailer for selling it. Where on earth is the logic in that?! 

As much as the retailer should be criticised, shouldn't parents be criticised too? Celebrities, music, television, films, books, magazines, teachers, peers, are always  put to blame.  Yet, why is it always everyones' fault except the parents?  When are parents going to act like parents and take responsibility for their children? Instead of shifting the blame elsewhere?

Yes, Primark should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for selling a product such as this.  And the media, celebrities, music, films, magazines etc are all equally to blame.  Nowadays children are over-exposed to sexual imagery, films and music, particularly of girls, at an unbelievably high level  and parents do have limited opportunities to stop it.  

Nevertheless,  where a child relies solely on their parent to make decisions for them, is it not up to the parent to shield and protect their child from situations such as this?  Perhaps parents should follow this example instead:-

Child:- "Mummy/Daddy can you please buy me this??  [insert celebrities name in here] has the exact same one! So do all my friends at school!

Parent:- "I'm sorry [add child's name here] there is no way in hell I will be buying you that hooker's outfit. Whereas this is perfect!" [grab nearby all-in-one swimsuit from nearby rail]

Simple! Problem solved ;-)

Nail Varnish Review Nude & Pink

With Summer fast approaching it's time to switch up the colours from A/W's dark berrys and cherrys (I loved Nails Inc's Blood Red and  Rimmel's Deliciously Dark) to softer and brighter tones.

I'm totally head over heels in love with the neutral/nude colours this season and  I picked up this gem from H&M called Latte to Go. Its a nude nail polish that is splitting image of the Chanel Inattendu nude nail varnish but unlike Chanel's expensive pricetag, H&M do it at a bargain for  £3.00!

Collection 2000's Couture no. 2

I'm currently wearing this nail polish from Collection 2000's Hot Drys no.2 Couture. I cant remember the price but it was definately cheaper than £3 and I remember thinking "what a bargain!" I really liked the colour and it goes well with gold jewellery :-)

Best Value Hotel..like EVER! *Big Sleep Hotel*

This Easter I spent it in the lovely seaside town of Eastbourne. I really wanted a nice Easter break somewhere in the South-East so I checked www.lastminute.com to see what weekend breaks they had on offer and boy was I impressed!

They had tons to choose from and in the end, my boyfriend picked a cute hotel called the "Big Sleep Hotel". Strange name yes, but AMAZING decor!

Great service, an amazing room, clean and spacious with very helpful and friendly staff too!

What really made the hotel stand out were the themed rooms.  You were given either the pink room (soooooooo going for this room next time!) blue room or the black and white room. We were given the black and white room which I loved!  It was spacious, clean, well decorated and very comfortable.  There was also a bar downstairs with good priced drinks!

One night, bed and breakfast, sea view room for £99? I think that is an amazing offer and would definately recommend it. So if you are ever in Eastbourne and need a place to stay, visit the Big Sleep you won't be disappointed!

American Apparel Riots in London

When I got the Facebook event that invited me to the American Apparel sample sale of course I accepted.  Who knew the event would turn into a disaster with a capital D.

Scuffles broke out at the Brick Lane branch in East London when more than 2,000 people turned up to catch the "amazing bargains".

America Apparel called the police and stopped the sale when the crowds got out of control. Three people were arrested and 10 officers sustained "minor injuries".

In a statement on their official website, American Apparel wrote, 

"The response at our first Rummage Sale in London was overwhelming and humbling.  Some unfortunate and downright dangerous behaviour in the queue prompted the police to temporarily close the event down until they could ensure security for everyone involved. 

In our many rummage sales, we've never witnessed anything like it and are disappointed and sorry that it happened."

Sorry that it happened?? What the hell did they expect by placing an open event on Facebook?!
