Outfit of the Day

The weather has picked up over in London, it's a lot warmer and we're seeing a more sun.  I purchased a few things from New Look and Primark this weekend.

 Denim Jacket -  Primark
Cropped top - New Look
Bangles - New Look

I LOVE slogan tees and the short sleeved drawstring LA License top comes in black and white - perfect!

 Maxi Dress - New Look
Tassel bag - Primark
Wedges - Primark
Bangles - New Look

I'm a big fan of accessories especially jewelery like the  bangle set really like the ornate patterns and floral designs.

I loved these tan wedges from Primark, perfect for a maxi dress or shorts, top and jacket.

Which look do you prefer? Let me know!

Rihanna makes Rolling Stone Cover!

Rihanna on cover of Rolling Stone

Rihanna is set to appear on the next Rolling Stone cover and she certainly isn't shying away from the camera!

Rihanna is rocking HUGE red curly hair, white vest and metallic ripped denim hot pants that appear sprayed. Either way, the girl looks hot!

How often do we see models on front covers of magazines showing skin and bones or a digitally altered image of a celebrity looking three sizes too small? Which is why it is time to give praise to celebrities who refuse to give in to the pressures of becoming a size 4 (or size 0 in the US).

Rihanna also appeared on Vogue April's cover 2011

So Rihanna, Beyonce, JLo, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, Dita Von Tesse, Scarlett Johannsson, Salma Hayek, Christina Hendricks and all the other curvy female celebrities who make fantastic body role models for young  girls - we salute you!

Love ♥ Want ♥ Need ♥ Versace Lace-up leather platform sandals

 Love| Want| Need these sandals!

If you are looking to turn heads, then take a look at these Versace lace up gladiator platform sandals!

Versace hasn't created just a sandal, but a mould of a shoe and boot to create a gothic inspired, knee high boot/ sandals.  5.5 inches with a 1.5 inch platform, these shouldn't be called gladiator sandals, try warrior sandals fit for a female Adonis.

Perfect for the evening, team with an understated black dress and clutch because the only item that needs to stand out are the sandals. Clearly!

2True Makeup Review

 2True makeup

I received some 2True makeup products to review this week.  I used the 2True New Voluptulash Mascara designed to exaggerate my natural shape of lashes.  My eyelashes didn’t appear lengthened but the mascara did definitely add body,  there were no clumps or smudges and made them looker bolder and fuller.

If you want plumper and fuller pout then you will love the Plumptuous Lip Gloss available in 24 shades, the gloss contains a special ingredient to give you the perfect pout and certainly did with mine!

I used the Colour Eyeshadow Duo shade 3 available in 15 different shades, to create the smokey eye look.

Colour Eyeshadow Duo shade 3

They are extremely pigmented, and very easy to blend to create the smokey eye effect, giving a lovely long lasting shimmer which I loved.

It was great to use for either a dramatic look for the evening or a more toned down look for the day (I tried both!)

Day time look..

More dramatic look for the evening...

For the more dramatic look, I used the Twist n Line Eye Definer, a waterproof liner which comes with a handy wind-up liner designed like a plastic pencil so you can bin the sharpeners! And also the Eyebrow Pencil which comes with a comb to help sculpt the brows – perfect to finish off the look!

Everything in this range is £1.95 or 3 for £5 so if you are looking to create a makeup look without stretching the purse strings then go with 2True makeup!

Optimum Skin Renewal Day Cream Review

 Optimum Skin Renewal Day Cream

I have heard so much about Optimum skin care range, with the overnight serum hailed as “miracle cream”, I couldn’t wait to try the day cream!

Optimum Skin Renewal Day Cream is described as a “revolutionary anti-ageing day cream” using Swiss “Uttwiler Spätlauber Apples” to promote fresher and younger-looking complexion.

The active ingredient in the serum is the same apple stem cell component that is apparently used in many expensive skin creams.  If you’re like me and always looking for fab beauty products on a budget, then news that Superdrug’s Optimum Skin Renewal day cream is only £9.99 is phenomenal!

The day cream offers protection against UVA/UVB rays that are responsible for over 80% of the signs of ageing and against sun damage.  It helps to firm, soften and soothe skin and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  I may not have wrinkles yet, but at the age of 25 I know it is never too early to start a daily moisturising routine.

The day cream has a light scent of apples which I really like. When applied, the texture is light and absorbed quickly, leaving my face moisturised and hydrated. It also makes a great base for applying makeup and doesn’t leave my skin too oily.

It states results can be expected in just four weeks when applied twice a day.  I’ve only been using the day cream for two weeks but so far so good!

Oscars 2011 Best Dressed

Oscars 2011 hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco..even they couldn't decided who the best dressed person was!

The stars were out for the 2011 Oscars but who out-shone the A-list guests the most on the red carpet?

My favourite dressed celebs were definitely Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis and Scarlet Johansson who all looked incredible!

Halle Berry, as consistent as ever, looked radiant in a nude Marchesa dress. The frothy hem detail and strapless top half did slightly remind me of a wedding dress, but I loved the fabric.  The stud earrings and satin peep-toe heels perfectly finished the look - stunning!

Halle Berry

It was battle of the red dresses when it came to Sandra Bullock and Anne Hathaway's frocks. Both wore strapless bold red floor length gowns, but it was Sandra's dress that won me over. I loved the square bodice which flattered her chest.  Unfortunately for Anne, her strapless number drew far too much attention to her non-existent pancake chest.

 Sandra Bullock

Anne Hathaway

I particularly liked Scarlet's rasberry Dolce Gabbana lace dress - the keyhole back was sexy but elegant, who knew a dress could do two styles so well?! Go Scarlet!

 Scarlet Johansson

Michelle Williams may not have won an Oscar, but she would definitely win an award for "Simple yet chic" with her outfit that night.  She wore a Chanel dress, with a high neckline with delicate tailoring.  Though the gown was very pale, it didn't drown her as it was fitted and flattered her shape. I think Michelle's pixie cropped hairstyle sooooooooo suits her she looked great!

Michelle Williams

I really liked Mila Kunis's dress by Elie Saab. I absolutely LOVED the colour - lilac is so delicate and fresh it's rare to see on the red carpet so she definitely gets ratings for picking this colour. The dress itself is quite sheer but I think it works for her!

Mila Kunis

And with the good, always comes the bad. Whilst Michelle Williams, Scarlet Johansson, Halle Berry and Sandra Bullet looked hot - these women looked a hot MESS. Behold, the celebrities who committed the worst crime of the century - wearing these awful frocks!

Cate Blanchett - I didn't know she was auditioning for a period drama - HOT MESS

Cameron Diaz - Some outfits are  best left for the nightclub. Let's keep it classy this is the Oscars after all - Hot Mess

Madonna's daughter Lourdes looks fab, though the length of her dress IS slightly questionable for a 14 year old though, I can let that pass. I can not let pass her mother's dress wayyyyyyy too much on show - HOT MESS
