Nominations are in and, well, I am not surprised. Very predictable but I didn't expect anything less from The Brits! Duffy has been selected for most of the awards...am I the ONLY person who thinks this singer is REALLY annoying?!? Obama Look-A-Like?!

I knew Obama's popularity was spreading worldwide but I didn't realise the extent of it until now. A photographer in Indonesia came across a man who he thought looked exactly like the main man himself, Barack Obama. Check out Obama, sorry, Ilham Anas, in his new Heart-Burn commercial.

Obama's Presidential Oath

I've been reading a lot of the news, forums, other bloggers and suprisingly even some so-called journalists believe that the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, messed up on his presidential oath. It hasn't even be a whole day yet and already the Haters have surfaced - trying to rain on Mr. President's parade. 

It was in fact The Chief Justice of The Supreme Court, John Roberts (the man who reads the oath and Obama has to repeat him) that messed up. And when I say messed up he messed up. BIG TIME. Although Roberts was leading, Obama had to correct HIM! Roberts bizzarely missed several words out and adding a few in like "faithfully". 

This is supposed to be one of the biggest oaths you could ever recite and Mr. Supreme Court goes and messes it up. *smh* You know what they say...if you want something done - do it your damn self!

 

Anyhoo - big congradulations to Mr. Prez Barack Obama. This is really history in the making and I am so honoured to be able to witness this day. Goes to show if you put your mind to something...

Don't Just Call Him a Rapper...

50 Cent has announced he will be adding film producing to his long list of talents. The rapper already boasts a clothing line, record label and not forgetting THAT water drink, Formula 50, which he sold to Coco Cola for an undisclosed WHOLE LOTTA £££! He told Reuters at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah that his film company has already bought eight scripts.

Fans have already seen his first film directing debut - "Before I Self Destruct" was given away free with his latest album. This is the man who was ranked number 26 on Forbes magazin'es 2008 list of top 100 richest celebrities... Make that paper 50!

Kelly Got Kicked to the Kerb!

It's not looking good for Kelly Brook. Just six days after the announcement Kelly Brook would become on a judge on Britain's Got Talent, it has been decided that a fourth judge isn't "needed". Say What?! A statement was released by TalkBack Thames the production company that makes Britain's Got Talent. They claimed the format of the show is "cleaner" and "less complicated" with just three judges.

"Although Kelly brings a huge amount of warmth to the show and we've loved having her on board, the complications it adds to the filming process and format of the show means that unfortunately, and with huge regret, we have agreed with ITV not to proceed with a fourth judge."

Though this isn't the first time Kelly has been axed from a show. Remember her stint on Big Breakfast? She replaced Denise Van Outen on the popular Channel 4 breakfast show. Yet after co-presenting the show with Johnny Vaugh ,she left after six months due to the HEAVY critcism she received from the press.

Brook had reportedly signed a contract worth £200,000...damn girl so close yet so far!

Brit Nominations will be revealed later today, it has been announced. Yah!!! Radio 1 Presenter, Fearne Cotton, will be announcing which artists will be in categories such as Best British Single and Best British Album.

Kylie to Present the BRITs 2009

It's been announced that Kylie will present The Brits 2009 alongside Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Matthew Horne. I am not a big fan of Kylie (apart from her dress sense - who can forget those incredible Gucci studded boots?!) and I don't watch Gavin and Stacey so I'm hoping that the performances will be as good as the MTV Awards. I'm not expecting GRAMMY performances (that will be when hell literally freezes over) But whether it is the European Awards or the Video Music Awards, MTV really has had some amazing performances good and bad *cough* Britney Spears, they sure are memorable!

So far Kings of Leon, Duffy, Girls Aloud and the Pet Shop Boys are among the line-up who will appear on the night. I swear if I hear one more Duffy song I think I will physically combust. Uh-Oh Surprise Eviction!

News just in - Michelle Heaton has been voted off in a surprise eviction.

The former Liberty X singer is the fourth contestant to be voted off Celeb BB. Oh dear, bet she thought she was at least going to be in the final three..in her dreams! I think her tears and tantrums soon got on the viewers nerves - plus her whingeing about Coolio's taunts that her and fellow contestant Ben (former A1 boyband singer) had a "thing" was really beginning to drag on. Will be interesting to see who the winner is - can the remaining housemates really put up with Coolio's behaviour much longer?!?!

From Segregation to Inauguration...

President and First Lady at We Are One Concert

It's still only the eve of Obama's inauguration but already the press are out in packs to mark this event in history. Police are expected in full force as enormous crowds are expected tomorrow to mark Obama's official day of turning President of United States. :-) The historic event started with the "We Are One" concert at Washington DC which included performances by U2, Jon Bon Jovi, Usher, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Mary J Blige, Sheryl Crow, Shakira and many more. And it wasn't just music. Special readings were performed by Jamie Foxx, Jack Black, Steve Carrell, Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington and others. See below for pics!

A big thanks goes out to the guy I met in New York who customised my kicks for me! I have no idea what his name was/or the tag he went by but all I know he sets up his stall outside Footlocker on Madison Square Gardens. He normally customises hats but being me I cheekily asked if he could do trainers too...and he agreed!!! For $10 its a bargain really...! :-) PS And yep thats Malorie Blackman's fourth book from the "Noughts & Crosses" series peeping outta the background! If you haven't read any of those books yet what the HECK are you waiting for?! If you don't know get to know!x

You may think that Lady Gaga is new on the scene but she has been around longer than you know. Also known as Stefani Joanna Germanotta, she was originally signed to Def Jam when she was nineteen years old but later signed to Interscope in January 2008. Her music is electronica genre, kinda 80's dance pop. What is making her so popular is her colourful, flamboyant outfits. She has definately created her own edgy look straight outta the 80's glam style. I wouldn't be surprised if she cites Jem & the Hollograms (if you don't know get to friggin know!) as one of her style influences (don't cat us!). A lot of bloggers such as Perez have noticed that Christina Aguilera has appeared on the MTV Video Music Awards and other appearances and photoshoots mimicking her unique look. However Lady G has remained very Lady like and has refused to comment when asked whether she thinks Christina is copying her style. We like her modesty!

New York City

The UK sales have been great but where is the next best place to spend all that Xmas money, and in my case, BIRTHDAY money??

NEW YORK CITY BABY!!!

I did try my very best not to go crazy and hit the shops as both the Christmas and January sales have been fab fab fab this year - that I can't deny. Well, that's one good thing to come out of this economic crisis! As much as I LOVE the yellow cabs in New York, you can't go all the way to the city and not hop on the subway! And when a girl's gotta shop..well what can I say - don't stop me now, i'm having such a good time, i'm having a ball...!

And when I say the food was good..the food was GOOD!

Think I was the only one who wanted Chinese food-just because of the packaging-love those cardboard boxes straight outta Friends!

Forget Take2 when you can have proper SOUL food (and coke!)

And you know I had to check out what the clubs were like..had to see how those Yanks like to party...well see for yourself!
