Blackheath Farmers' Market Review

Farmers' Market

Every Sunday after church, I visit the Farmer's Market in Blackheath.

It has been established for many years and apparently everyone knows the farmers by name. Although I think I'll just still to a polite "hello" and smile before I am on first name bases with the farmers!

The delicious bakery at the farmers' market today!

There is a wide range of farm produce on offer, fresh fish, meat, plants, herbs, vegetables, fruit, sweets, hot food like burgers and hot dogs and much more.  The selection of cheeses is incredible and there are so many different breads on display. My favourite has to be the pastries and cakes which always seem to satisfy my sweet tooth!

Brownies - all mine!

The brownies always taste so good and always reasonably priced with generous servings too. The chocolate fudge brownies above cost £1.50 each. You couldn't be more generous than that! I have been meaning to try the coffee and walnut cake so will purchase a slice of that the next time I visit the market.

 Cakes galore!

Blackheath Farmers' market takes place every Sunday in Blackheath railway station car park from 10am - 2pm.  If you're in the area, it is well worth a visit!

Topshop Launches Wedding Collection

 Topshop's first bridal collection

Topshop have launched their first ever bridal collection, Tie The Knot, by designer Richard Nicoll.

Far from your average wedding collection, the Topshop Tie The Knot dresses start from £75, with the most expensive gown costing £350, perfect for the budget bride!

Lace tunic dress, £170

Nicoll said he wanted to offer "a younger, cooler alternative" to mainstream bridal fashion.

From contrasting sheer fabrics in floaty shapes to tailored dresses in matte fabrics this bridal collection is far from the tacky, blingy wedding dresses you might have seen on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. I love the lace maxi dresses available in pure white or coral shades.

 Long maxi dress £350

The collection has a great range of party pieces, for even those who aren't getting hitched.  The pink lace cupped strappy dress would make a great summer dress for a wedding guest or just for a party princess. It is a collection I would wear, wedding or not.

Pink laced cup dress £200

The collection launches on Topshop.com and in London's Oxford Circus, Selfridges and Brompton Road stores on 15th June.  Will I be there? Most definitely! The dresses are lovely and compared to other bridal wear, the prices are lovely too. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next Topshop bridal range will have to offer too...

Let me know your thoughts!

Jubilee Celebrations

Jubilee Displays

To mark 60 years of the Queen's reign, I held a Jubilee celebration party on the weekend. We had barbeque, salad, cakes and sweets. It was a shame the bad weather meant we didn't get to spend most of the day outside but nothing was going to reign rain on our parade!

Cakes, salad, crisps, sweets and wine!

Muffins and cakes - yum!
