Wasn't she good?! Most artists wouldn't have even bothered but she looked like she was enjoying it to - and so she should! Britain offers more than tea, cockney rhyming slang and the Queen! The UK music scene is moving forward and it's about time the US recognise that :-)

Footballer, Jermain Defoe's half-brother, Jade Defoe died on Friday after a daylight street attack in Walnut Gardens, East London.A post-mortem confirmed that Jade suffered serious head injuries. A 28 year old man has been arrested in connection with the death of Jade Defoe, and has been released on bail.Jade 26, also known as EscoBar, was an MC from Slew Dem Cru and appeared on Grime DVDs such as Lord of the Mics 2. More than 600 friends and fans joined a tribute page created on Facebook.Jermain Defoe was withdrawn from the TottenhamHotspur game that lost 5-2 to Manchester United on Saturday. A spokesman for TottenhamHotspurs said: "All at the club wish to extend their condolences to Jermain Defoe and his family following the death of his half-brother." Unfortunately not all the reports and statements were as sensitive.The Sun threw all sensitivity out of the window and released these details about Jermain and his family:"Jermain, also 26, and Jade had the same Father, crack addict Jimmy Defoe. He has three other sons, all by different mothers, but the half-brothers are said to be close."WTF???Why is it necessary to release all of this negative information? Is it so important to release details that Jermain's father is a "Crack addict" and has three other sons by three different mothers??? The fact that the Sun has mentioned the brothers are close is also slightly strange. Are siblings not usually close? Especially when a tragedy such as this affects a family? Or is there an exception for those with crack head fathers - perhaps they don't share the same closeness as those without parents without an addiction?To say I'm shocked would be a lie because I don't expect anything less than a low-class trashy newspaper like the Sun to report on such nonsense. Mexico has closed its schools across its capital last Friday after 16 people died and more than 900 others fell ill from what could be -wait for it -SWINE FLU.And you thought you had heard it all!The World Health Organisation (WHO) has counted at least 57 deaths in Mexico although it wasn't clear if this large number is due to swine flu. “We are very, very concerned,” WHO spokesman Thomas Abraham said. “We have what appears to be a novel virus and it has spread from human to human.” If international spread is confirmed, that meets WHO’s criteria for raising the pandemic alert level, he added.The World Health Organisation worried that it could mark the start of a flu pandemic. Scientists in the U.S and Mexico were trying to determine if the deaths were due to the same new strain of swine flu that sickended seven people in Texas and California.

So...I was feeling in one of those "back in the day" moods and decided to turn to good old Jodeci to get me "feenin" (lol) their old skool tunes. As much as I loooooooove Day 26 (new album, Forever In A Day, is just too much - didn't think they could do one better than their debut album!) no one can touch K-Ci and JoJo'ssilky vocals. Diddy you done good!The first time I heard "Diary of a Mad Band" I was about seven, having had my older sister bless my innocent ears with HipHop Soul those songs have stayed with me since then, Feenin', My Heart Belongs To You, and All You Got..but their debut album, "Forever My Lady" really showed the world what talented soulful vocalists Jodeci were. And how could we forget Devante! - the original sweet boy!! :-) Ladies will never forget his cheesy actions: "accidentally" revealing torso shots and gazes into the camera by the Casanova of the group.So here is one of the most romantic love-story videos ever made. One of the funniest intros too - A member of the group is being interviewed by a Brummie reporter. How RANDOM is that?! I didn't even know Americans knew back then the UK had such diverse accents and H-Town go and add a girl from Birmingham. In the interview, she (stupidly) asks them asking what "Knocking Boots" meant. Oh dear, maybe they got one thing right...!
Unfortunately the lead singer, Keven A. Conner also known as Dino was killed in a car accident in 2003. The remaining members of the band, his suriving twin brother Soloman "Shazam" and Darryl "G.I" still continue to tour as H-Town. R.I.P Dino x

These kids are like the cutest things I've ever seen! I don't know where they are from or what made them decide to start doing crazy moves on the street and in their kitchen...but hey as long as their not getting into trouble then that's all that matters. So this is meant to be the new dance craze (hate that word "craze"!) called jerking..hmmm interesting choice of vocabularly but when you see them in action you'll understand!I think they look cute and more importantly it makes me wanna practice in my kitchen! (Did I say that out loud?! :-) Though my only concern is how friggin TIGHT those skinny jeans are! I'm glad to see it's not just the UK that has the problem with young men wearing jeans tighter than mine - just plain wrong whichever way you look at it!!!
R&D Productions is holding a Charity Gala performance of "Scratched Out - The Urban Musical" in aid of the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT) on Saturday 18th April, 7:30pm at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith.
"Scratched Out" is an Urban Musical about six young people from an inner-city estate who all have ambitions of making it in the music industry. The story takes place during the course of one evening at a pirate radio station and a club. As the record spins, the drama unfolds, revealing the soundtrack to a night that changes the lives of all six characters...
Directed and composed by Richard Hale with lyrics by London spoken word favourite, Dean Atta, the production was written, produced and performed by a cast and crew who are all under the age of 25 and who have chosen to channel their creative energies into the medium of musical theatre.

The Gala Night will feature a performance of the musical, a secret auction, raffle, drinks and canapes, followed by a live performance by jazz inspired artist Ayanna Witter-Johnson; Daley, a unique singer-songwriter and the cast's very own Sloozie, a contemporary urban music style.
There will be a secret auction on the night which includes a designer dress by Ricky Briggs, custom made to fit the winner, as well as a raffle with some fantastic prizes! Proceeds from the night will be donated to the ACLT whose representatives will be our special guests on the evening.
It is a vibrant, dynamic and engaging production which will provoke thought, turn heads and ultimately shine a positive light on what can be achieved by young people in the face of adversity. It is also a great opportunity to support the ACLT as all proceeds go to the charity.
