Avatar Review

Avatar Film Poster

It cost around $300 million dollars to make and within three weeks of its release date became the second highest gossing film of all time WORLDWIDE, and been named as a breakthrough in terms of its 3D production and filmmaking.

It can only be the film that everyone is talking about...AVATAR!

Usually, I would have seen the film in it's opening week. However since it was shot in 3D, I knew pirate copies were a No-No and even the average Odean and Vue cinemas wouldn't be enough to handle this kind of production.
I needed to go SUPER SIZE with film screens so I watched it at the amazing IMAX in Southbank, Waterloo and boy was it worth the wait!

Main character, Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington

I don't want to give too much of the plot away but everything you have heard is true.  Avatar's plot, production and special effects are incredible.  The plot is also very well written. To be honest, it is long film, lasting around 2 and 1/2 hours but everyone (including me!) was so engrossed in the plot and special effects you hardly realised.

So marks out of 10? Nine - without a doubt a fantastic film that made you gasp at the amazing special effects, make you laugh, pulled my heart strings and also made you reflect on what is considered "humane" and what isn't.

Enjoy the trailer! x

I LOVED THIS FILM too babe, saw it in a Vue though, but it was the most comfortable and clean VUE ever. I can just imagine how great it was at the IMAX! X
